A WHOLISTIC JOURNEY

My goal in creating this blog is to inspire others as well as share my story !  My fitness journey has been a roller coaster over the years.  I have come a long way mentally and physically over the years and I want to be able to share it with you.

My weight has always been an issue for me since I could remember.  A few years after I graduated high school I decided to start exercising.  I joined a local gym and started running.  It lasted a few months, then I would stop and start back up months later.  That cycle continued for many years.  It wasn't until 2019 that I finally made the choice to make all the right changes for me, myself and I.  That's when I realized I wanted to find myself again and be able to start enjoying my life to the fullest.

In 2019 I focused on my mental health first.  After being mentally drained and beat up for so many years I needed to get myself right before I could put focus on anything else.  After many months I finally knew I was in the right place to start focusing on other things.  One thing I figured out over the years is you can't do everything at once and good things take time!  I started to pick up my running game as I was noticing it was helping me mentally.  It became my therapy.  That's when I started to see results physically.  By the end of 2019 I had lost close to 30 pounds.  Things become easier when you see the results.   I also joined the gym again in that time and was taking some classes whenever I could fit it into my schedule. 

Beginning of 2020, I decided to start to challenge myself more.  I got a personal trainer and decided to start working out on a more daily schedule.  I also started to focus more on the food I was putting into my body.  This is when I was introduced to sea moss and fell in love.  I have seen many benefits since I have started using sea moss daily.  I also started doing a 24 hour fast every Wednesday, which is also going great.  So I decided to challenge myself again, so I started a 30 day challenge of no dairy and clean eating.    These are all things I will discuss further in another blog so continue to follow!!
