As I continue on this journey to a healthier lifestyle, I realize how big my mindset matters! It’s not always easy and I don’t always do as good as I can, but at the end of the day I realize how far I have come. I realize if my mind set is not on the right track, I am setting myself up to fail.
There is always temptation around all corners. And sometimes I do let the temptation get the best of me. But when that happens, I realize it quickly and get myself right back on track. I've gotten to the point in my life where I know I never want to go back to the woman I was before.
One of the things I have noticed that has been working great for me is my weekly fast. I always start mentally preparing myself on Tuesdays for my fast, it seems to help me get through the day on Wednesday. Then every Wednesday starting at 9 am until Thursday 9 am I do a 24-hour fast. I try my hardest to stay strictly to only water for that 24-hour period. Sometimes I chew gum or have a mint to help get me through the day. Surprisingly its easier than you would think it is. Every Thursday when I wake up, I feel refreshed, like I did my body a good deed! And that’s exactly why I continue to do this fast every week.
Another thing I noticed that works is a cheat day! You gotta have them! Everyone needs pizza in their life! Through the week I do my best to stay on track when it comes to my diet. If I stay focused through the week, I don’t feel guilty about cheating on the weekend, it’s more of a deserved reward for the hard work I put in through the week.
I have made several changes when it comes to the food I eat that have went along fantastic with a healthier lifestyle. I plan to elaborate more on another blog some of the changes I have made and the process I took to get where I am today.
A positive mindset goes such a long way! The more I surround myself with positive vibes the happier I am. I do believe sea moss has helped me with mental clarity. Ever since I added sea moss to my diet I feel like I am a more positive person and look for the good before bad in situations. The more I continue to make healthier choices the happier I am. The more I push myself in my workouts and runs the happier I am. I have found what works for me and I love it!
Positive vibes only!
